REPAIR / UPGRADE / replace?

box-frames - minor repairs are sometimes necessary and this is generally cost-effective

simple DRAUGHTSTRIPPING on your old sashes will help to improve insulation BUt it is JUST TINKERING with the problem - it has limited impact, it will not stop ice/condensation on the inside & you still have old sashes

in contrast we provide neat new SLOT-IN energy ESASHES which keep ORIGINAL GOOD LOOKS & give a NEW lease of LIFE

new or complete replacement windows are occasionally necessary - here narrow frame components are essential or else they just look wrong - [but please, not at the risk of early-failure slim glazing!]

Why we don't offer Slim (10 or 12mm) glazing?

because in slim units less is less .. and worse:

Slim Sealed Units are technically too big a compromise..

Reduced Edge Cover = Reduced Lifetime

Edge Sealant degrades over time and we don't think 5 years (or even 10) is a sufficient lifetime for glass in windows.

.. also glazing slim units into slim bars is poor practice technically (see the expertexpert link below ...)

.. and 12mm units cannot achieve a full-frame U-value to meet current regulations - an insulation compromise
